Ingredients:
- 1 cup warm milk (240 ml)
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup condensed milk (75 g)
- 2 tbsp sugar (30 g)
- 2 1/4 tsp dry yeast (7 g)
- 4 1/4 cups flour (520 g)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup softened butter (50 g)
- 3 tbsp butter (45 g)
- 3 tbsp condensed milk (45 g)
Instructions:
- Whisk sugar and condensed milk into warm milk. Add yeast and egg, whisk again.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients, including flour and salt.
- Use dough hooks to bring the dough together. Add softened butter and knead for ten minutes.
- Allow the dough to rest for one hour.
- Roll 2/3 of the dough into a 25×40 cm rectangle, then roll it into a log and cut into pieces. Place in a preheated baking dish.
- Repeat with the remaining 1/3 of the dough for smaller buns. Let the rolls rest for an hour.
- Before baking, brush the top of each bun with egg wash.
- Bake at 180C/350F for 25-30 minutes (20 minutes for smaller buns).
- Whisk equal parts butter and condensed milk; apply to warm buns.
- Once cooled, remove from baking pans.
