– 1/3 cup granulated sugar
– 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
– 1 tablespoon lemon zest

- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease/flour a 9×9-inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

- Beat in eggs one at a time, followed by lemon zest, lemon juice, and vanilla extract.
